WalkProof Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 29, 2026
This policy describes how Driftline Labs LLC ("we", "us") collects and uses information through the WalkProof mobile application ("WalkProof"), a tool for independent contractors that turns a recorded walkthrough into a draft scope-of-work (SOW) and proposal. It applies only to WalkProof — see our separate Lingosphere Privacy Policy for that app.
If you are a contractor using WalkProof: you are responsible for obtaining any consent required by law before recording a conversation with a customer. Many states, including Massachusetts, require the consent of all parties to record a conversation. Please confirm your recording complies with applicable law before you hit record.
Information We Collect
- Account & business profile: your email address and a securely hashed password (or, if you sign in with Google or Apple, your email and a unique account identifier from that provider), plus business details you provide: company name, business address, phone number, license number, and logo.
- Subscription & billing: we use Stripe and RevenueCat to process subscriptions; we store an account identifier from each provider but never your full card details, which are handled directly by those providers.
- Customer information you enter: the name and address of the customer for each job, which you type in or which is prefilled from your device's approximate GPS location via OpenStreetMap's Nominatim reverse-geocoding service (that request sends coordinates, not the saved address, to OpenStreetMap).
- Audio recordings: the walkthrough audio you record. It is stored temporarily on our servers (and, depending on configuration, briefly mirrored to Cloudflare R2 as a crash-recovery backup) solely to produce a transcript, and is automatically deleted once transcription succeeds.
- Transcripts & generated drafts: the text transcript of your recording and the SOW/quote drafts generated from it. These are retained as part of your job history until you delete the job or your account.
How We Use This Information
We use this information to authenticate your account, generate your SOW and quote drafts, process your subscription, and provide customer support. Specifically:
- Your recording is transcribed using either a hosted transcription provider (AssemblyAI) or local, on-device processing, depending on configuration.
- The full transcript is sent to a large-language-model provider — Anthropic, OpenAI, or Groq, depending on configuration — to generate your SOW and quote draft. If your conversation mentions the customer's name or other details, that text may be included as part of the transcript sent to the LLM provider for this purpose.
Sending Proposals to Your Customers
When you approve a draft and send it to a customer, this happens directly from your device using your own email app or your device's native mail composer. We do not see, transmit, or store your customer's email address as part of that step.
Third-Party Service Providers
We share information with the following providers strictly to operate the app: AssemblyAI (audio transcription), Anthropic, OpenAI, or Groq (SOW/quote draft generation), Cloudflare (temporary audio backup), OpenStreetMap Nominatim (address lookup), Stripe and RevenueCat (subscription billing), Resend (account emails such as verification and password reset), and Google/Apple (sign-in). We do not sell your information or your customers' information.
Data Retention & Deletion
Audio recordings are deleted from our servers automatically once transcription completes. Transcripts, generated drafts, and job records are retained until you delete them or delete your account. Deleting your account from within the app permanently removes your business profile, jobs, quotes, and related records; this action is immediate and irreversible.
Children's Privacy
WalkProof is a business tool intended for use by adult contractors and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date above.
